Maddy lost her other tooth!

Today while eating lunch, Maddy's 2nd bottom tooth finally came out! It's been hanging for the last few days. She's so cute with no teeth! But she's always cute =-)

Speaking of teeth, Brent & Hayley were at the dentist the other day and both had wonderful checkups! Hayley has an appt in January with the orthodontist to make moldings and the other things they do to start her with orthodontic work. She will have a spacer put in after her appt in January. She'll have that for 1 1/2 yrs and go from there. Most likely braces after. Her mouth is so crunched for space, the spacer will widen her upper jaw to make some more room.

Brent has been sick this week with a cough. He stayed home Tues and yesterday. I worked in his room this am and his teacher said he seems ok-coughing a little. I'm glad he wasn't there yesterday. His teacher said one of the kids vomited all over. YUCK!!!!!!!!! He's ok during the day but by dinner he's not feeling well. He fell asleep last night on the couch at 6:45.

Our latest project.........

Yesterday was quite an interesting day. I sat eating breakfast hearing this funny sound. I couldn't make the sound out, I had to find it. I tried a couple times with no luck. On my last try, I looked again behind the couch which faces the kitchen and found a funny spot on the floor. It was WET. How can this be? Well, as I was standing there, I got dripped on. Up on the ceiling was a drip. This is the sound I heard as it spattered when it hit the soaked carpet. Low and behold a 3-5 ft section had a wet mark and 3 other drip spots. The 'A-ha' moment is that the bathroom is above........... I went to check it out and the toilet water was at the top of the bowl! A certain someone (we won't name names) had an issue in the kids' bathroom and didn't say anything so the water ran over and was left to seep all night thus dripping out of the ceiling. Thanks to the crew who will replace our roof, they also do other repair jobs. Scott called them and they came out and cut 2 spots out of our ceiling to get the water out (which wasn't much) and to dry it out. He will come back in a few days and see how things are and hopefully nothing more is wrong and he can put our ceiling back together. Hopefully the bathroom cupboards and floor boards are ok and not yucky from water sitting. Ah.....there's never a dull moment!!

Maddy lost her 1st tooth!

Maddy lost her tooth this morning! She said she was biting on her shirt (why I don't know). She didn't have her tooth after it came out. We looked on our bed and there it was! It never bled it was so loose! She was so excited. The tooth fairy will come tonight! She has a tooth pillow Brent bought her last year for xmas. He's so sweet =)

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween! We carved pumpkins Thurs night. I went to Maddy's costume parade in the am-very cute. All of the Kindergarten classes go out in back and parade with their costumes. I picked Maddy up from school and she got to bring home the class bear!!!!! She got to bring him home on another weekend and now again for Halloween!!! The class draws sticks and they get to bring this cute teddy home and they journal about what they did. So Beary got to go to Brent's parade at school too! We came home and made pumpkin bars for the block dinner party before tricks and treats. All of the 1st grade teachers dressed in Snow White. One teacher was Snow White and the other 7 were the dwarfs =-) Very cute! Hayley didn't get to dress in her costume for school =( But, Brent & Hayley were so excited to get going when they got home from school. Hayley was a hippy (as were Hunter who is Hayley's same age and his mom who live right next to us)-very cute, Brent was a football player and Maddy was a ballerina. She changed her mind from the big, poofy pink dress she was going to wear. I wasn't going to argue.........We went down to the end of our street and had hot dog mummies, chili and lots of goodies. The kids went out trick or treating with the dads and I passed out candy with the our neighbors. It was a beautiful day! 70 degrees and sunny! It's going to be that nice all week! Anyway, the kids went thru the whole neighborhood (except the front streets) and came back and counted and sorted their candy! Our neighbors who live next to Dori and Hunter are grandparents for the first time and their grand kids who are 14 mos were down. They were dressed as skunks! They were so cute! Emily had a pink bow on her outfit. They're twins-Emily and Ben. Anyway, they were too cute! Big bushy tails and hoods........
We had our pic's taken for the church directory on Saturday. They turned out pretty good I think. We came home and hung out and did NOTHING! It feels so good not to have anywhere to go!
Well, must go for now. Jack Frost the movie is coming on.....................i have more pic's to post so i'll be back!!
