The house was smelling of wonderful turkey! We continued to play and enjoy being home while dinner was cooking. We ate around 3 pm. I made 10 potatoes to mash! All for ME!! No, I didn't eat them all in one sitting. The kids didn't eat much of them, Scott had some. We made sweet potatoes for Scott. Yuck. We had 'safe' apple and pear bubbly too! We forgot buns, so I made some from scratch! They were yummy! It was Thanksgiving all over. We had a wonderful dinner and played games after. It was weird not being in Mn for Christmas but it's been great to enjoy being here and home for Xmas.
So here's hoping everyone had a wonderful Christmas and holiday season! I can't believe the New Year is upon us. I have a few things on my list for 2009 to do. Embrace the mornings and get up before everyone! LOL I have a new coffee/espresso maker so that will be a treat! This fall Hayley will be in 5th grade at the middle school and get on the bus at 7:05-UGH! for both of us!! I don't think I'm a morning person and want to be. I want to journal everyday-I've started this already. It's fun and a great release and fun to look back on. I want to walk........Jake does too =) I'm lucky I've kept off my 15lbs I lost a few yrs ago and want to keep it that way and maybe lose more. Just be healthy inside too. I want to continue down my spiritual journey and grow in it. I'm glad I have found my faith and I'm excited and feel comforted with Him in my life. I want my family and friends to be blessed in 2009, keep them safe, healthy and happy. Know I love you all! Everyday I'm so thankful for the friends and family I have. May the Lord wrap his arms around everyone I love and keep them safe. I'm thankful for all I have and am sure to know this everyday. Being a mother, grown person, life/kids can be trying but I'm thankful I have family. My kids have made me grow and the experiences have made me learn about myself. I have the best husband a girl could ask for and the best kids-I'm so proud of them.
Have a blessed and Happy New Year!
