Buddies.......

We were watching a movie and Jake went and snuggled up with Maddy. They have become quite the pals =) She called him and he went to her and layed down. He likes to snuggle.

What a week!

Yuck! The stomach flu has been going thru our house since Monday night! Maddy started not to feel good and got sick Monday night. Tuesday, she wasn't feeling well and neither were Scott or I. I started to feel better Wednesday and Scott and Maddy are still mending. Hayley came down with this last night and Brent has it a little. We're all home today recouping and it's back to school tomorrow-for Maddy & Brent anyway. Scott's at work and we'll see how Hayleys' doing. She's Mary in our church's Christmas play this weekend. She needs to get better! It's hard to Christmas shop when there are sick kidlets about! Disinfecting wipes are the best! The kids have their holiday parties next week so everyone needs to get better!

Brent will be playing flag football starting in January. He's excited! A friend from his football team asked if Brent wanted to play.

Hayley has some softball batting practice/skills sessions she'll start here in January too. Possibly a pitching skills session also. It's been a nice break from sports but time to do something again.

Our tree

Our tree was 13' tall and not very full. We got it home and it looked like it was going to fall over-top heavy. So, we decided to shorten it a little and we ended up with 2 trees. One is 7 ' and the other is 5'. It's not our best tree we've had but it will do and it smells wonderful and festive. It's fun to have 2 trees. It didn't look like it was that tall outside.

We went to our neighbor's-George and Glady's house last night for their annual holiday party. It was fun chatting with neighbors. Good laughs had by all. Very good food =)

It's been a busy weekend and it's a good day to cuddle up with my book, kids and read and watch football!

We went to the Big Tree Plantation yesterday after church to get our Griswold tree! They didn't have a lot to choose from this year but it was still fun. It snowed yesterday and we got a few inches. We had hot chocolate and looked around their gift shop

Maddy's tummy............

She's been having tummy aches on and off for a week and a 1/2 or so. The last few nights she hasn't slept well and she needed to go to the dr. I brought her in on Friday and she has reflux. She's on liquid Zantac for a few months. She's doing better after her meds for a few days. She missed school on Friday.

Breakfast with Santa

We went to church yesterday for Breakfast with Santa. Scott was in charge of organizing it. The committee he's on puts this on and now it's his to organize. Santa was there, crafts and pancake breakfast. Hayley was a elf and helped guide the line of kids to Santa. Isn't she cute?? =) I helped with registration and Maddy and Brent socialized and just had fun. It was fun to see the kids excited for Santa and the families had fun.
